Manchester-based charity The Mustard Tree still has grants of £200 worth of furniture available to people over the age of 65 and on benefits. According to The Mustard Tree:
“With the current economic situation, we understand not many people can afford high street prices to update their furniture, and the Mustard Tree will be pleased to support anyone over 65 struggling with their benefits. The Mustard Tree helps the homeless with provision of second hand furniture, clothing and food parcels and run soup runs in the city… This offer will be valid till the grant runs out so get in quick to the Mustard Tree. The warehouse is based at 110 Oldham Road, Ancoats, just opposite the main Royal Mail office. It is open Mondays-to Fridays and Saturday mornings.”
