Free trees for community groups and schools

Received at Cranswick Square, this offer from the Royal Horticultural Society and the Woodland Trust:

Free tree packs
Last spring, over 300 RHS ‘In Bloom’ and ‘It’s your Neighbourhood’ groups planted free packs of trees provided by the Woodland Trust.
This was part of an exciting new partnership to bring thousands more trees into our towns, villages and cities. We’ve made a fantastic start and together, we now want to do even more.
1,000 free packs of trees are available now for community groups to receive this autumn, with many more available in 2012.
If you know of some public land in your local area that would benefit from trees, apply for one of our free packs:

Tree packs for communities
Apply now to receive a free community tree planting pack to plant in autumn 2011 or spring/autumn 2012
There are two sizes:
105 trees
for planting either in small groups or as a hedge (approx 30m)
420 trees
create a long hedge (approx 120m), or divide up and plant at different sites. If planted as a block of trees, there is
sufficient for approximately one acre of land.
Trees are supplied as young saplings about 30 – 40 cm high.

Schools and youth groups can apply for smaller packs of 30 trees, or the full-sized packs if they need more saplings.

More information on the scheme is available here.
