This Friday – ‘Creatures of the Night’ at Platt Fields

**Creatures of the Night**
The Boathouse, Platt Fields Park, Wilmslow Rd, M14 6LA

.. a chilli-ng feast for eyes ears and tongues!

Platt Fields will be open to visitors from near and far as the Friends of Platt Fields and Pow Wow Pedal Power present an evening of horror, spooking, illuminations and strange strange shows.

At the heart of the event, a unique pedal-powered cinema will run throughout the evening, showing short films fitting to the season – some you may recognise, others specially created for the evening – followed by projections and creepy VJ sets by local artists.

Alongside this, a magical gallery of larger-than-life illuminated creatures that once walked the autumn mists of the Platt Estate … a mighty stag, a raging boar, a handsome peacock… along with more recent residents… a pair of graceful swans, a squirrel and an owl. ….

And on the Dark-side … Environmental sculptures in the trees and bushes. Wander along and find them all.

Dozens of lanterns, moving lights, fire pots and candles create a space in which there will be …Circus !
………………..And fire !
………………And feasting ….. !

Everyone welcome. Invite your creature that is lurking within, to surface itself + lurk amongst the shadows of the other beasts. Dressing up encouraged – the spookier the better!

5 – 7pm children’s games and films
7 – 10pm all ages

• Please bring a torch if you want to visit the Dark-side
• for safety reasons, please enter the park at Grangethorpe Rd which is well-lit
