Opportunities for community artists

Received at Cranswick Square:

Seeking Volunteers for Community Art Project
City South Manchester Housing Trust and our partners are seeking volunteers who live in Hulme and Moss Side who would be interested in taking part in an exciting new community project aimed at promoting the cultural diversity of the area.
The project will see local residents working in partnership with artists over a period of time to produce a variety of works that would then be displayed locally. On completion of the project a celebratory gala event will be held, bringing everyone together that has been involved.
We see this as a great opportunity to bring the local community together and celebrate the many different cultures that South Manchester has to offer. To make this project a success and for it to achieve its aim of promoting the diversity of Hulme and Moss Side, we want residents from a wide variety of backgrounds to volunteer.

Interested individuals or groups should contact Tom Cass, Moss Side Regeneration Ward Officer, South Manchester Regeneration Team, Level 2 (North Wing), Entrance 2, Daisy Mill Complex, 345 Stockport Road, Longsight, Manchester M13 0LF, tel: 0161 277 1965, email: t.cass@manchester.gov.uk
